Jasmine Oil Health Benefit

Jasmine is a very famous flower. Jasmine Essential Oil is extracted from the flowers of Jasmine. It has a strong sweet, pleasing and romantic fragrance, which is very common in flowers which bloom only at night.


It is also a very good antiseptic and disinfectant. Its constituents like Benzaldehyde, Benzoic Acid and Benzyl Benzoate have very effective germicidal, bactericidal, fungicidal and antiviral properties.


When externally applied to wounds, it prevents them from becoming septic and effectively eliminates potential infections from tetanus.


A combination of jasmine essential oil’s properties make it an ideal tool for inducing long, restful, and undisturbed sleep, its behaviour as an expectorant, sedative, and antispasmodic combine to create the best situation for falling asleep and staying asleep for the entire night.


Jasmine oil tones dry, greasy, irritated and sensitive skin, increases elasticity and is often used to assist with stretch marks and to reduce scarring. Jasmine is often recommended for use during childbirth.


It is said to strengthen contractions, relieve uterine pain, and aid post-natal recovery. 


It is also recommended by some as a hormone balancer, and soothing with menstrual pain. Jasmine and Ginger make a wonderful aphrodisiac blend.


Jasmine oil is usually used as a middle or base note in perfume blending. The Jasmine flower essential oil has a lot of effect on the mind. It helps in calming mind and acts like an anti depressant.


The jasmine oil has a pleasing odour which helps in changing the mood of the individual, makes him happy and arouses desires.

Although jasmine oil is generally considered safe, it should always be used with caution. For instance, it’s important to blend jasmine oil with carrier oil such as jojoba.
