Asafoetida Herb Health Benefits

Asafoetida has been used for abdominal tumours and as a carminative, intestinal spasmodic, abortifacient, aphrodisiac, diuretic, sedative, and stimulant.

 

It is used in respiratory conditions, such as asthma, bronchitis, and whooping cough, has also been documented, and in 1918 asafoetida was used in the Spanish influenza pandemic.

Add a quarter teaspoon of asafoetida and half a teaspoon each of onion juice and betel leaf juice in two teaspoons of honey.

The entire plant can also be used as a vegetable. Moreover, it is a crucial ingredient in Worcestershire sauce.
