Argan Oil Health Benefits

Argan oil is plant oil produced from the kernels of the argan tree. In Morocco, argan oil is used to dip bread in at breakfast or to drizzle on couscous or pasta.

Add a few drops of argan oil to your store-bought mask. Alternatively, make your own mask by mixing 1 tablespoon of lemon juice, 3 teaspoons of Greek-style yogurt, 1 tablespoon of honey and 3 drops of argan oil in a bowl.

Apply on a clean, dry face and leave on for 10 minutes. Rinse off with warm water. Add a few drops of argan oil to your favourite facial toner to hydrate and tone simultaneously.

You can make your own toner by adding a few drops of argan oil to Rose or Orange Blossom water.

Argan oil is nutty tasting oil that is good for sprinkling in salads, dipping bread in and used in many dishes.

Argan oil is a great product to calm frizzy ends, add moisture to dry hair as well as add a little shine. Apply to your hair while it is still damp for an all over treatment or apply just to your dry ends after your hair is dry.

Because of argan oil’s increasing popularity, many skin care companies are jumping on the argan oil bandwagon.

It is definitely a mid-range beauty product, but the concentration and small amount needed help with the cost.

You can use argan oil for a full body moisturizer, applying just as you would a body lotion or cream. Apply the oil right after you get out of your shower for best moisturizing results.

The antioxidants in argan oil are generally beneficial for healing skin which is irritated, cracked, damaged or even burned.

It is best used as a preventive for dry or sore skin, but it can also be used to speed up healing. Its properties include reducing inflammation, soothing pain and increasing healing rate.
